1 unripe mango, sliced into small pieces
1/2 Tbs red chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds, ground
1/4 tsp turmeric
2 Tbs oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
3/4 tsp asafetida
1. Heat oil in a frying pan. When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and allow them to sputter. Add the mango pieces and the rest of the ingredients. Cook for 5 minutes and remove.
Raw Mango Chutney is a traditional Kerala chutney. It is served with any meal to add flavor and a different taste to compliment the meal. Since it is so easy to make, it is served often. It happens to be one of my favorites!
