STEPS:

1. Wash, drain and pat dry the shrimp. 2. In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add all of the spices to the pan and let it cook for a few minutes. Add the shrimp. Stir until the shrimp are well coated. Let the dish cook, stirring occasionally, until the masala on the shrimp turns a rich brown and the shrimp are just slightly moist.

BABY SHRIMP FRY [South Indian Recipe]

My husband created this dish when he was in graduate school. It is based on a traditional South Indian recipe from Kerala. Versions of this recipe have become popular across South India. Baby shrimp are inexpensive and a good source of protein. The steps to make this simple version will let people think you spent a lot of time preparing it.
